Bellarmine University’s student-run internet radio station was founded in 2005. Since then, many students have contributed to what the station has become. We’ve played a lot of music, hosted a lot of guests, and introduced a lot of people to new ideas and possibilities.
Bellarmine Radio is a laboratory that has helped students on their way in a variety of different ways. Our alumni work at a variety of media and communication contexts and work at some of the country’s most innovative media companies (and a few have started their own). Friendships and even romances have started here too. There have been several Bellarmine Radio weddings and at least one alumni DJ set that led to our first on-air proposal in the radio booth (we’re only half joking when we say we’re the radio d’amour).
We’ve not begun to explore all that’s possible via radio. If you want to contribute your unique talents to what we’re doing, we’d love for you to join us. Let’s make sounds for the next Bellarmine.
